LimbPower is a national organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with limb impairments including amputees. This charity organization was founded in November 2009 and became a National Disability Sports Organization in July 2014. It collaborates with the English Federation of Disability Sport in England to help push this initiative.
Because of this initiative, amputees and others with leg impairment can achieve their sports potential. LimbPower provides support to amputees, people with limb differences, and their families through a variety of activities. For example, they organize adaptive exercise fun sessions, inclusive dancing classes, yoga, and confidence clinics. Besides this, there are opportunities to engage in dance, drama, painting, and photo clubs.
The campaign 'I Can, You Can, We Can' emphasizes what people can achieve on their own, with the help of others. For example, amputees can still pursue their passion with enough medical support. More importantly, the prosthetic industry plays a major role in supporting these individuals. As such, this campaign tries to raise awareness of what individuals with limb loss or abnormalities can do.
